How does the Future Homes Standard (FHS) affect our solar requirements?

The FHS (coming into full force 24 March 2027) effectively mandates on-site renewable energy generation to meet strict new carbon emission targets (75% lower than 2013 standards). Solar PV is the primary way to achieve this. Current guidance suggests a target equivalent to 40% of the dwelling’s ground floor area. Our team is already designing systems to meet these specific thresholds, ensuring your developments are “zero-carbon ready” and fully compliant with Part L 2026/2027 updates.
