THE INSTALLATION – COMMERCIAL CUSTOMERS

This page shows the steps for your solar / battery installation after you have had a pre-installation survey. Once your survey has been reviewed, and we have received all necessary information from you and any third parties, any changes that need to be made to your order will be communicated to you.

Dates – Schedule of Works

You may have already received installation dates from our Bookings team. If not, we will liaise with you as to when you will be ready for us to install. This communication will come either from our bookings team, or from your Project Manager.

Advanced Invoice

Our advanced invoice will be due no later than 20 working days prior to our first day of installation. If you have not already been sent your Advanced invoice, then it will be sent to you around 5 working days prior to its’ due date.

If you would like your advanced invoice sooner than this, please let us know and we can of course organise and issue it earlier.

RAMS: Risk Assessment & Method Statement

Before the installation, your Project Manager will provide you with Naked Solar’s site-specific Method Statements and the relevant Risk Assessments. If you have your own contractor RAMS, or if there are any unusual circumstances that could affect these and you haven’t already informed the surveyor, please ensure you pass this information on at your earliest convenience. Additionally, we may require further details prior to installation, such as site contact information, sign-in procedures, an asbestos register, a fire safety plan, and confirmation of an appropriate area for the delivery and storage of panels.

If there are any additional documents you require, such as insurance certificates or subcontractor RAMS, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Scaffolding, Trenching, other Works

If we are providing scaffolding for the job, you will be informed of the erection date as soon as we have it confirmed. We typically know this information in the week prior to your planned installation. If you need this sooner, please let us know.

If you are providing scaffolding, please see our Scaffold Requirements page, showing the necessary features for our solar installation. We will need photos showing the scaffolding in place before we are able to start any work on the roof. Please send photos to [email protected] once the scaffolding is ready for us.

If trenching work is required, we ask that you send photos as soon as it has been dug, so that we can confirm our attendance.
