Cornwall College Visit

Thanks to Jess Burton from The Cornwall College Group for coming to visit Training Manager Tim. As Pre 16 Careers and Pathways Manager, Jess was keen to hear all the exciting plans for Naked Solar and the Planet Maintenance Academy.

Jess recently had the incredible opportunity to connect with Naked Solar as part of her college’s Back To Industry Day. It was a fantastic initiative where college staff ventured out into the industry to expand their knowledge and expertise in their respective fields.

Jess’s main objective was to delve deeper into Naked Solar’s core values and purpose, as well as their remarkable contributions to the community and education sector in terms of promoting careers in Renewables.

From the moment she entered the world of renewables, Naked Solar’s website became her go-to resource. It not only provided her with easily understandable information but also served as a rich repository of knowledge. It was an obvious choice for her to visit a company that has established itself as a local powerhouse, making a real difference.

What truly sets Naked Solar apart is their innovative techniques, methods, and unique selling proposition (USP). They are not just another company installing solar PV on rooftops. They are climate disruptors, going above and beyond to make a meaningful impact. From using seed paper for their leaflets to incentivising car sharing and bike riding, adopting electric vehicles whenever possible, prioritising local hiring, and responsibly recycling, Naked Solar truly embodies the spirit of corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Rumour had it that the office was filled with adorable furry friends, making it an even more appealing place to spend a rainy Monday.

During the day, Jess had the opportunity to exchange ideas and explore potential collaborations on specific courses. The future looks incredibly promising, and she can’t wait to see what they can achieve together. Stay tuned for exciting updates!
