Our Managing Director, Tony, has been eating, sleeping, and breathing solar since Naked Solar’s very first installation all the way back in 2010. He’s ridden the highs and lows of the “solarcoaster” for over a decade and has seen it all.

That’s why he sits on the steering group for Solar Energy UK. He uses that hard-earned experience to help lead industry advancements, drive growth, and shape the future of the sector through direct policy and advocacy efforts. It’s about making sure the whole industry moves forward, not just our own bottom line.

TEACHING THE SKILLS OUR PLANET NEEDS NOW

The biggest barrier to combating Climate Change is the lack of people with the wide range of skills required for renewable energy deployment.

Naked Solar’s Planet Maintenance Academy™ provides members of our local community with the key skills required to tackle the climate crisis head on.

We’re proud to have created the UK’s first and only Solar PV roofing training course which we deliver ourselves from our training roof in Cubert. Graduates of our Planet Maintenance Academy™ gain employment in the solar industry, either with us or for other UK Solar Installers.

Fixing the Rules from the Inside

We don’t just follow the rules; we help write them. We regularly attend MCS focus groups to share our hard-earned, real-world installation experience. Why? Because the technical standards that govern the industry need to work in practice, not just on paper. By putting our hands up and getting stuck into these sessions, we are actively helping to shape higher technical standards. It means a safer, better-performing industry for everyone, no matter who you end up choosing to fit your system.

Investing in the Next Generation

Our team regularly participates in local community events and school career fairs, where we speak directly to young people about the vital importance of renewable energy and the career opportunities within the sector.

We believe that empowering the next generation is essential for long-term climate action, which is why we actively offer apprenticeships, providing young people with a practical, hands-on foothold to launch their careers in the solar industry.

🌞 **Exceptional Service from Naked Solar – Highly Recommended!**

We recently had solar panels installed by Naked Solar while undergoing a roof replacement, and we couldn’t be more impressed with the entire experience. From start to finish, Naked Solar demonstrated professionalism, flexibility, and outstanding customer care.

One of the standout aspects was their willingness to coordinate directly with our roofing company. This ensured the scaffolding met both parties’ needs, streamlining the process and saving us time and hassle. Their proactive communication made a potentially complex project feel effortless.

Now that the system is up and running, we’re thrilled to be enjoying complete self-sufficiency with our electricity. While registration with the grid takes a few weeks (so we can sell surplus energy), Naked Solar guided us through every step. The only minor downside is the standing charges, but they will reduce once we switch to a new Octopus contract post-registration.

The installation team were friendly, respectful, and kept us informed throughout. On the admin side, communication was timely and clear, and everyone we dealt with was incredibly knowledgeable.

I was going to change my inverter as the one I had wasn’t compatible with an energy company I am with , after talking to Kieran all I had to do was buy a new Wi-Fi dongle and set it up ( yet to do) their advice has potential saved me in excess of £1000 , will definitely be going back for all my solar needs in the future, cannot speak highly enough of naked solar
